Experienced anglers will easily recognize this web page is
written by a loving, but novice, fisherman. Year after year, the
region draws true anglers back to their favorite spot in the
rivers, for one more try at extending the artful experience
of their craft. For others, like myself, you'll try it from a boat,
with a guide teaching the basics of baiting the hook.
Or you may have been one of those who saw a movie called "A River Runs Through
it", and were inspired to experience wading out in the shallow
waters and try your hand at casting. The rivers of
America's Wild Rivers Coast, hold a wealth of memorable experiences for a
wide range of interests and talents.

Does fishing look like fun and you'd
like to try it? Or are you an experienced
angler heading for the river immediately on arrival? Or would
you simply like an up-close visit with one of the
region's most important natural wildlife habitat? |
Still for others, the opportunity to be amidst this
magnificent natural wildlife habitat, while meandering along
a riverbank or up the river in a jetboat, is what it's all about.
There are rivers, boats, fishing gear, bait and guides to
help with any and all of it in any of the region's Wild &
Scenic Rivers. Wander down to the port and check it
out, or visit any of the region's visitor centers. Or
in high season, you may want to make plans ahead of time.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife provide an
helpful menu of sport fishing, marine fishing and shellfish
REGULATIONS.
